Personality Training You Can Take to the BANK

If you want to be the best at anything, you must want it badly enough and you must train for it.

Olympic athletes train. Hard. Much harder than any of us mere mortals can imagine.

Thankfully, training to be a top marketer isn’t nearly as difficult, painful, or time consuming as training to win Olympic gold, but it is more fun and in many cases it pays better.

In the next few paragraphs you’re going to learn information that may possibly revolutionize your thinking and set you on the road to achieving your dreams. So sit back, relax, pour of nice hot cup of coffee, whatever you need to do to set your mind in a proper zone, free from distraction.

Humans have 4 main personality traits. Awareness and familiarization with these traits allows one to better understand how people think, feel, act, react, and make decisions. In essence, you will understand what makes them tick.

More importantly, you will more fully understand what makes you tick.

Most importantly, you will gain a complete grasp on what triggers a person’s decision to buy, which is what marketing is all about.

I know you want to make more money, so let’s get started:

First, we’ll start with the Planners. These people plan everything. I’m sure 3 or 4 people immediately came to mind and you said, “yep, I know some planners.”

My wife is a planner.

Everything she does has a plan. Her calendar is tidy and most generally full. Planning is exciting for her. She loves to plan and is at her best when she has something to plan. She is one of the best planners on the planet.

My wife plans like it’s her job, because it is.

With planners, everything is a blueprint, so I find it helpful to think of the color blue when I think of a planner. Blue is the color of money.

“Everyone knows money is green, Rod!” True, but blue attracts the money.

Don’t take my word for it. Look around you right now. How many things can you find that are blue?

Blue is a comfortable color. Blue puts people at ease. Blue makes people spend money. Once again, this is science and not my opinion. Wavelengths of blue in its various hues provoke buying decisions like no other color family.

Blue is big money and big companies spend big money on blue.

Pay close attention to television commercials, billboards, packaging at the grocery store, etc. You will see that a great many companies utilize blue heavily in their marketing campaigns.

The Golf Channel does an incredible job of luring you in to their show by utilizing several different shades of blue, along with shiny metal, attractive wood, lighting and background action on strategically placed flat screen televisions.

The Golf Channel has mastered color psychology in their marketing strategy. How else do you explain why viewers watch reporters on a TV set talking about golf?

Their mastery keeps the audience’s attention long enough to get them to the commercials, which is the only reason network television exist.

I’m watching The NFL Today on CBS. Their set scheme? Blue on blue on blue on blue on blue.

But this article isn’t about The NFL Today, The Golf Channel or color psychology, it’s personality types and how understanding them can make you piles of cash.

Remember, planners are blue. You need planners in your business.

Blues put the B in BANK.

Next, the Action Junkies. I’ll bet you know a ton of Action Junkies. Always the life of the party, action junkies are the type of people who skydive, rock climb, drive fast cars, constantly try new things and have a few hundred hobbies. Action Junkies are always on-the-go; they are your stereotypical type-A’s.

When you think action junky, think red. Red is another trigger color. Red produces a unique excitement in people.

Action junkies love red. Most sports cars are red. Most traffic tickets are given to people who drive red vehicles. Red attracts cops. Or maybe it attracts a driver who needs to mash the pedal to the floor, I’m not sure, but red is an attraction mechanism unlike no other.

Look around you. What items do you see that are red?

Pay special attention to the colors you encounter on a daily basis. Question why those objects are that color. You’ll find that many times that red is doing the attracting, especially in nature. Take fruit for example. Our bodies function best when we eat fruit. Humans tend toward things that are visually attractive, and many of the healthiest fruits in the World are red.

But isn’t this discussion supposed to be about personality types, you ask? Correct, dear reader, but the discussion is more about making money than anything and color plays a major role in that!

Now, back to your regularly scheduled program…

Action Junkies get things done and get them done now. You need Action Junkies in your business.

Action Junkies put the A in BANK.

Next up, the N’s.

N is for nurture, and Nurturers are people with huge hearts. Nurturers want to save the World, and will give the shirt off of their back to help someone.

Nurturers want to help everybody, all of the time. They put everybody else’s interests before their own self-interest.

N’s make sure everybody is happy. You know plenty of N’s.

These are typically the people who are on the front lines in business. N’s are the people at the front desk or phone, dealing with customers.

N’s soothe and comfort. N’s keep the peace. When you see somebody throw up a “peace sign,” you’ll be witnessing an N. Some N’s (but not all) are mellow. When you think “N,” think yellow.

The 4th and final personality type is the one that makes the World go ’round: the K’s.

“K” stands for knowledge. Knowledge is power. K’s are the people who discover. Albert Einstein is a K. Thomas Edison is a K. Steven Hawking is a K.

K’s are the inventors, researchers, and creators who are always . K’s need to know everything about something before they make a decision on anything, and will dissect a topic, an issue, a manual… no matter what lies before them, a “K” will ask a million questions and try to find a way to improve it or pick it apart to find its weakness.

Without K’s the World as we know it would not exist. We need K’s, and you need them in your business. K’s are green, because you can’t make “green” without them.

It may take a K forever to make a decision, after they’ve weighed all of the options from all 360 angles, but once that decision is made, don’t look back, Katy-bar-the-door it is all systems go. You can bet your bottom dollar the decision was correct.

K’s make quality decisions because they put the extra time, effort and thought into them.

So there you have it. Personality training you can take to the BANK.

What are your main personality traits? Your spouse, parents, siblings, friends, business associates?

Just as you can’t be all things to all people, you can’t be all 4 personality types. You may have a balance of a couple, maybe 3 but not all 4.

For example, my wife provides incredible balance in my life because she is a planner. Lord knows I’m not. Jen has a great balance of B, N and K, but not a great deal of A. My personality, in no particular order, consists more of A, N and K, and not so much B. Together, we make a great team.

In any relationship, whether it be business or romance, it is important to identify personality traits between parties and find balance between them, to strengthen the relationship and provide a win-win situation for all.

Until next time, have a super-fantastic rockin’ day.

2011 Mexican Silver Libertad MS70

What’s so cool about the 2011 Mexican Silver Libertad Mint State (MS70)?

First introduced in 1892, the 2011 Mexican Silver Libertad MS70 is produced by the prestigious Casa de Moneda de Mexico, the oldest mint in the Western Hemisphere.

Today, the Libertad ranks among the most popular pure silver coins in the world.

The coin’s obverse highlights the multiple versions of the Mexican Coat of Arms that have been used throughout that nation’s history. The design commemorates the historically significant founding of Mexico City and depicts an eagle devouring a snake while perched on a catus.

The reverse design features a landmark statue in Mexico City. “El Angel de la Independencia” (The Angel of Independence}, which was built to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Mexico’s War of Independence with Spain.

The Angel, as it is commonly known in Mexico, holds a laurel crown in her right hand symbolizing victory and a broken chain in her left representing Mexico’s freedom from Spanish rule.

In the background, the twin volcanoes, Popocatepeti and Iztaccihuati can be seen. They were named after a prince and princess from two opposing native tribes who were banished after they married against their parents wishes. Legend has it that the spirits of the two lovers reside within the mountains, waiting to force any foreign invaders from their lands.

What’s so cool about the 2011 United States San Francisco Mint 25th Anniversary Silver Eagle Mint State (MS70)?

Finally, after more than a decade, the prestigious San Francisco Mint has once again begun striking Silver American Eagles.

From 1989 to 2000, Silver Eagles were struck concurrently at the West Point and San Francisco mint facilities.  In 2001, however production was limited exclusively to the US Mint in West Point.  But because of the unprecedented demand for Silver Eagles, the San Francisco Mint has once again been pressed into service in the production of these magnificent coins.

When the news broke in May, collectors everywhere became excited. The chance to own one of the few coins struck in San Francisco for the first time in more than ten years was too valuable of an opportunity to miss. But there was a catch; they would be produced without a mintmark.

Fortunately, ANACS proposed a simple solution. Sealed Treasury boxes, known as “Monster Boxes”, are shipped with a security strap identifying the mint location. ANACS recently announced that they would certify the coins from the San Francisco Mint as long as they were submitted in the sealed Treasury boxes as proof of their origin. Additionally,  they agreed to certify those coins submitted to them within the first 30 days of production with the coveted,Initial Release Designation.

It is estimated that less than 10% of the total number of 2011 Silver Eagles will be produced at the San Francisco Mint, and considerably fewer will be certified as such with only a fraction of them receiving a perfect grade of MS70.

A certified, 2011 San Francisco Mint Silver American Eagle is certain to be a key coin in this highly sought-after series; a must for any collector.

This book by Darren Hardy, publisher of Success magazine, shows you how seemingly insignificant changes can create huge differences in outcomes. That’s what makes the strategies in his book so doable. You don’t have to set an unreachable goal to be successful. Instead, you just need to keep doing the little things – even when the immediate results aren’t apparent.

As Darren so clearly demonstrates, it’s your habits and choices that make the difference. And, he shows you how understanding your “why-power” enables you to make the daily changes that yield massive results. Personally, I enjoyed learning about his own success habits too. Very impressive. I have a lot to learn from him!

To sum it all up: The little things you do add up to success – so do them. This easy-to-read book is motivational, filled with lots of “how to” advice and definitely worthwhile. -Amazon review

The Giant Within

Here’s something my friend and business partner, Ray Higdon, just sent to me. Powerful stuff!

There is a giant within you
that only needs to be chiseled
out of you

There is knowledge in your heart
that you can do anything but that
small little voice in your head
stops you from accomplishing life’s
greatest achievements

Two years ago my physical form was
in personal foreclosure, on the brink
of bankruptcy but I quieted that little
voice and started chiseling away

Never let the small temporary circumstances
enslave your mind

Ridicule, rejection, depression, anger
were all part of that journey.

Abundance, gratitude and joy came later.

There were many who doubted me, there will
be many who doubt you. If the little voice
in your head is not serving you, quiet it
and let the noise of your actions choke it

If you have the capacity to read this message,
to post on facebook, to comprehend my words
today, you have the ability to take control
of the circumstances of your life

Envy those of success and you are doomed never
to become one of them

Hate those of wealth and you fulfill the keeping
of your circumstances the same

Those of you in my team. I bow to you, I humbly thank
you and am honored beyond words that you chose to
spend your precious time and heart with me

There is a tiger within you. A hurricane of power.
A galaxy of star moments that are dying to burst
into and out of your memory and senses.

You are unlimited, you are most powerful but only
if you choose to be. Sever the ties of those that
don’t serve your most beautiful light within you

“Don’t die with your music inside you” – W Dyer
-Ray Higdon

PS: Thanks for all the birthday wishes, hope this message
helps you create a wonderful day =)

1994 1 oz Australian Silver Kookaburra MS70

What’s so cool about the 1994 Australian Silver Kookaburra Mint State (MS70)?

First introduced in 1990,the 1994 Australian Silver Kookaburra was the only fifth coin issued in this celebrated coin series.

The Silver Kookaburra is one of the handful of pure silver coins in the world that changes its design each year. Because the Perth Mint gives these coins a fresh look yearly, and because they have very limited mintage, the Australian Kookaburra has become one of the most sought-after silver coins in the world. This 1994 issue was produced 17 years ago, with very few having ever been graded, making this a rare and desirable addition to your collection.

The obverse features the crowned profile of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, which was designed by Raphael Maklouf in 1985. The portrait depicts the Queen wearing part of the British Crown Jewels, the George IV Royal Diadem, which Her Majesty wears on her way to and from the State Opening of Parliament.

1994′s reverse was designed by Miliena Milan and depicts a pair of Kookaburras perched on the branch of a eucalyptus tree. The rolling, laughing call of the Kookaburra is one of the most familiar sounds in the forest of eastern Australia. These birds raise a wild chorus of insane laughter at dawn and dusk so regularly that in the hinterlands of Australia they are known as the “bushmans clock.”

Minted in one troy ounce of .999 Fine Silver and graded MS70 by ANACS, the 1994 Australian Silver Kookaburra is minted in a stunning `reverse-proof` finish, which is the opposite of US proof coins. The background of the Kookaburra is frosted while the images themselves are rendered in a mirror-like finish, allowing them to catch the light beautifully.

Weight: 31.135 g Diameter: 40.60 mm Thickness: 4.00 mm Purity: .999 Fine Silver

What’s so cool about the 2011 United Kingdom Silver Britannia Mint State (MS70)?

First issued by the British Royal Mint in 1997, the Silver Britannia is a unique and fascinating treasure. It is the largest and purest legal tender coin minted in the United Kingdom today.

Measuring 40 millimeters and weighing 32.45 grams, the coin is composed of .958 fine silver, also known as Britannia silver, an alloy comprising 95.8% silver and 4.2% copper.

The 2012 Silver Britannia is one of a growing number of coin series that features a new design on the reverse each year. For 2012, the Royal Mint has chosen to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Britannia Bullion series by using the design that was first featured on the 1987 Gold Britannia.

It depicts Britannia, armed with a trident and shield, standing proudly on the shore with her hair and gown streaming in the sea breeze. The design was created by the sculptor Philip Nathan who sought to personify the nations proud naval history.

The obverse features the profile of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, with the coins legal tender value of ’2 Pounds’ inscribed across the bottom. What’s so cool about the 2011 Austrian Silver Philharmonic Mint State 70 (MS70)?

The 2011 Austrian Philharmonic is one of the top-selling silver coins worldwide.

Struck in .999 pure silver, and created through a painstaking and demanding minting process, the 2011 Austrian Philharmonic is a stunning example of the exquisite precision and artistry that has made this coin so highly prized.
This coin was designed to honor one of the world’s most acclaimed orchestras: the Vienna Philharmonic, which has become tied to the national identity of Austria since its inception in 1842.
The Grand organ of the Musikverein seen on the obverse of the Silver Philharmonic was originally installed in 1907. Since then, the organ has been rebuilt and upgraded four times, most recently in 2010. While the organ’s neoclassical design has remained virtually unchanged since it was built more than one hundred years ago, nearly all of its mechanical parts have been replaced including 6,138 of its pipes. All that remains of the original instrument are the 33 front pipes that are house in the organ’s ornate, gilded woodwork.
The reverse features a bouquet of instruments used by the great philharmonic orchestra, including violins, violas, a cello, harp, bassoon and Viennese horn. These coins are produced at the well-respected Austrian mint, which was first established in the year 1194.
